Our Quantum Light Source is a turnkey, fully-integrated, cutting-edge photonic system that leverages indium phosphide (InP) for efficient laser gain and silicon nitride (SiN) waveguides for photon pair generation via four-wave mixing (FWM). The InP laser gain chip provides a stable and high-quality light source, which is then coupled into the silicon nitride waveguide, where third-order nonlinearity enables the generation of entangled photon pairs. The system emits photons in the form of a quantum frequency comb, where each mode in the comb corresponds to a distinct frequency with precise phase coherence between the modes. This unique characteristic allows for high-dimensional entanglement and provides exceptional flexibility for quantum applications such as quantum cryptography, quantum sensing, and quantum communication.

The silicon nitride waveguide is optimized for low-loss operation, ensuring high-efficiency photon generation, and the system includes low-loss fiber tapers that couple the generated photons out of the chip into external fibers with minimal signal loss. This fully-laser integrated system provides both compactness and scalability, delivering high-fidelity entangled photons with phase coherence across a broad frequency range. With customizable features such as photon-pair generation rates, wavelength, and coincidence-to-accitential ratios, our Quantum Light Source offers a powerful, reliable solution for researchers pushing the boundaries of quantum technologies.
